Job Opportunity: Office Manager

Position: Office Manager (full time, salaried, non-exempt)

Direct Report to: Director of Church Operations, Brian Cox


Essential job functions:


  • Work with Leadership Council on setting policies for:
    • Use of facility
    • Campus security
    • Hiring of Outside Contractors
  • Work closely with Leadership Council on facility matters, including repairs, safety, routine maintenance, and campus security for both the Church and Preschool
  • Manage office & administrative functions for the church
  • Manage all facility requests or concerns, and all maintenance/facility use contracts
  • Oversee church facility calendar


  • Church Accounting
    • Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Payroll processing* (currently outsourced to Director)
    • Manage credit card
    • Manage petty cash fund
    • Provide church budget recommendations as needed


  • Direct supervisor for custodians
    • Communicate any facility needs, set-up, or additional tasks to custodians
    • Order office and janitorial supplies
  • Direct supervisor for office volunteers – money counters, volunteer receptionists, etc.


  • Back-up for Administrative Assistant: answer phones and greet visitors, always projecting a friendly and welcoming attitude
  • Keep front office work area, workroom, and print shop neat and orderly and free of clutter
  • Receive mail and package orders and deliver to appropriate mailbox or office




  1. Prior experience in accounting/bookkeeping; some college preferred.
  2. Ability to use computer and other office technologies
  3. Strong project management skills
  4. Excellent communication and follow-through skills
  5. Outstanding organization and attention to detail
  6. Ability to multi-task and handle interruptions
  7. Professional and friendly demeanor on phone/in-person



  1. 1+ year supervisory experience
  2. 1+ year in accounting/bookkeeping
  3. Prior experience working in nonprofits/religious organizations
