Job Opportunity: Office Manager
Position: Office Manager (full time, salaried, non-exempt)
Direct Report to: Director of Church Operations, Brian Cox
Essential job functions:
FACILITY MANAGEMENT
- Work with Leadership Council on setting policies for:
- Use of facility
- Campus security
- Hiring of Outside Contractors
- Work closely with Leadership Council on facility matters, including repairs, safety, routine maintenance, and campus security for both the Church and Preschool
- Manage office & administrative functions for the church
- Manage all facility requests or concerns, and all maintenance/facility use contracts
- Oversee church facility calendar
FINANCIAL
- Church Accounting
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Payroll processing* (currently outsourced to Director)
- Manage credit card
- Manage petty cash fund
- Provide church budget recommendations as needed
SUPERVISOR
- Direct supervisor for custodians
- Communicate any facility needs, set-up, or additional tasks to custodians
- Order office and janitorial supplies
- Direct supervisor for office volunteers – money counters, volunteer receptionists, etc.
OFFICE ADMINISTRATION
- Back-up for Administrative Assistant: answer phones and greet visitors, always projecting a friendly and welcoming attitude
- Keep front office work area, workroom, and print shop neat and orderly and free of clutter
- Receive mail and package orders and deliver to appropriate mailbox or office
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior experience in accounting/bookkeeping; some college preferred.
- Ability to use computer and other office technologies
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent communication and follow-through skills
- Outstanding organization and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and handle interruptions
- Professional and friendly demeanor on phone/in-person
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 1+ year supervisory experience
- 1+ year in accounting/bookkeeping
- Prior experience working in nonprofits/religious organizations

Essential job functions:
OFFICE ADMINISTRATION
- Answer phones and greet visitors, always projecting a friendly and welcoming attitude
- Keep front office work area, workroom, and print shop neat and orderly and free of clutter
- Receive mail and package orders and deliver to appropriate mailbox or office
- Attend weekly staff meetings
FACILITY MANAGEMENT
- Oversee administrative functions for the church
- Oversee church facility calendar
- Keep office supplies and copy room stocked
FINANCIAL
- Oversee counters
- Prepare bank deposits
SUPERVISOR
- Supervisor for office volunteers – money counters, volunteer receptionists, etc.
