About the discipleship Pathway

  • As a church, we meet more and more people who have made it to adulthood with little Christian experience. Rather than leaving these people to figure it out independently, we are deciding to meet them where they are. There is also a wide variety of Christian beliefs worldwide, and we again want to meet people where they are and grow together in our Christian understanding.

  • Everyone is welcome to join. The courses are free (though there are some costs for materials), and you can enter all seven courses or just one, your choice. Most of the courses will be led by Pastor Brian, with a sprinkling of other leaders as the schedule necessitates.

  • A Discipleship Pathway is a specific set of courses and experiences designed to build a foundation for the Christian Faith. For those new to the faith, think of it as Adult Confirmation. Those continuing in the faith can think of it as the necessary reinforcements made over time to ensure the foundation stays in good order.

  • Each class will meet Wednesdays at 1:00 pm or 6:30 pm. These are duplicate classes, so you don't attend the afternoon and evening on the same day. Come to the weekly session that best fits your schedule. All class sessions will be held at the church library.

  • Course 1 - Embracing an Adult Faith

    This is a foundations of Christianity Course. That will cover basic understandings of God, Jesus, Salvation, Community, and Practice.

  • Course 6 - Saving Grace, A Guide to Financial Well-Being

    This is a six-week course to help people of faith create healthy relationships with money and possessions, covering such topics as saving, earning, giving, spending, and debt, along with helpful strategies for achieving a sustainable financial life.

  • COURSE 7 - Unbinding the Gospel, Real Life Evangelism, Martha Grace Reese

    This is a six-week course designed to endcap the Discipleship Pathway. This course assists in understanding the movements of God in one’s life and preparing one to share the work of God with others in familiar, comfortable, and safe ways.
