Jo’s thoughts on reading the August Digging Deeper book selection

Oh, my goodness.  I hope you have a chance to read this month's Digging Deeper book selection, "Playground: A Novel" by Richard Powers.  There were times when I was reading that it felt as if all the pressure of the world was closing in on these characters. I was in turn anxious, joyful, hopeful, scared and convicted.  There will be much to discuss when we meet on August 25.  

Although it is never a requirement to have finished (or even started) the book selection, we may share some things about the ending of the novel, so you may want to pace your reading to finish this month.  If you do not finish, please still plan on coming to the Zoom.  We will make sure the discussion accommodates those who have finished and those who have not.
