At FUMCCV, music is more than notes and melodies; it's a bridge to the soul, a language that transcends boundaries. Through our Music Ministry, we invite you to join us on a journey where engaging music meets profound spirituality, where all ages and backgrounds harmonize, and where the essence of God is felt in every chord and lyric.

Children’s Choir
(Elementary Age & Reading)

Our Children’s Choir, designed for elementary-aged reading children, is a vibrant space where young voices find their wings. Through songs, movement, and creativity, children develop not just musical skills, but also a deep love for the art. They sing in worship once every month and at special events.

Seasonal Choirs

  • Twice a year, during Christmas and Easter, we invite our wider community to come together through music. Seasonal Choirs are open to everyone. Church members and non-members, people of faith and those simply curious, teens through adults. No prior choir experience is required.

    If you enjoy music and are willing to give it your all, you belong here.

    Each season is a short-term commitment focused on learning choral technique, harmony, and the joy of singing together. Participation is free, and seasonal singers are warmly invited to continue with our regular choir if they choose.

  • This 8-week Easter choir will be a time to encounter the beauty and power of joining our voices in song, learn choral technique and harmony singing, and celebrate the season of Lent and Holy Week together. We welcome all ability levels, from teenagers to adults. Participation is free. Childcare can be provided.

We know how important sharing your love for God through music can be. This is why we have a wide range of ensembles and choirs for community members of all ages to participate in. Check them out below!

  • Our Celebration Handbells, a diverse musical group, performs once a month in worship. If you have an intermediate to advanced skill level, join us on Tuesdays from 5:00 to 6:00 pm in the Choir Room.

  • The Crossing Band leads worship for The Crossing, our modern worship community. We embrace various musical styles and rehearse on Sundays from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Join us if you have an intermediate to advanced skill level.

  • The Sanctuary Choir, a non-audition mixed choir, leads our Sunday worship service at 9:30 am. No music-reading skills are necessary; bring a good heart and a willingness to learn. We rehearse on Sunday mornings from 8:30 to 9:30 am in the Chapel and on Thursday Nights from 7 pm to 8 pm. Join us in the joy of making music together.
