Welcome to Life Groups, where our community flourishes in the vibrant tapestry of diversity. These small gatherings, meeting 2-4 times a month, are your sanctuary of belonging, regardless of age, background, or life journey. Imagine a mosaic of souls coming together, sharing stories, offering support, and embracing the beautiful mosaic of life.
In our Life Groups, we explore the depths of our shared humanity, finding strength in unity, joy in togetherness, and solace in acceptance. We navigate life's twists and turns together, discovering the power of friendship, understanding, and compassion. We delve into the scriptures together, draw inspiration, and celebrate victories. We don’t just learn from our past; we embrace it, finding wisdom in every story. With open hearts and open minds, we help one another grow, ensuring that no one walks alone.

Queer Life Group
This is a safe space for LGBTQIA+ individuals to celebrate our love for Christ and bear witness to each other’s lives through encouragement and prayer. Please join us on the first and third Sunday of each month.

Alan Hay
Gathering on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM, this group connects through Zoom while also joining in person for mission projects and fellowship. Together we explore issues of justice, faith, and community, engaging in studies that typically last 6–8 weeks. Rooted in a progressive Christian perspective, we invite like-minded participants to journey with us and put faith into action.

Aries Ramirez
For teens in 7th–12th grade, this group is a place to laugh, play, and share life while also learning how faith can shape who we are becoming. It’s a chance to ask honest questions, discover God’s love, and build friendships that last well beyond youth group. Led by our Director of Youth Ministry, we gather most Wednesdays from 6 to 8 PM on the FUMCCV campus.

Manny Delossantos & Gladys Ramos
A community of Filipino-American members gathering to celebrate culture, faith, and tradition. Through fellowship, we share God’s love, support one another, and grow together in the Christian spirit. This group meets on the last Sunday of every month, either in person or on Zoom.

Pam Hay
Women of all ages gather to grow in faith and serve through mission-focused projects. Our group connects weekly on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM via Zoom for study and reflection, and meets in person on the third Saturday of each month at 10:00 AM for fellowship and service. Together we seek to put love into action within our church and community.

David Hall & Manny Delossantos
Men of all ages are invited to gather for Bible study on Wednesdays from 6:30–7:30 PM in the Disciples’ Room, located on the second floor of the Fellowship Hall. Together we grow as disciples by sharing faith and life experiences, listening deeply, and putting God’s Word into action. Beyond study, our group serves through food ministries and community outreach, with a men’s retreat also in the works.

A gathering space for families with school-aged children to share life, faith, and support with one another. This group offers a chance to connect with others in a similar stage of life, building a small circle of community within the larger church family. Together we walk through the joys and challenges of parenting while growing closer to God.

Spiritual growth happens best in a small group of like-minded people with mutual support and encouragement. Christianity is relational in nature as we are pursuing a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and there is nothing better the assist us on our journey than real relationships with others.

There are four primary foci of a LIFE Group:
1. Study – with the support of church staff you will choose the subject matter and study together each time you meet (you might study a book of the bible, a subject like forgiveness, or a practical topic like Christian parenting, etc.).
2. Care – you will become the primary congregational caregivers to one another; someone is sick and needs meals you will provide this for one another, someone is going through a tough time you will check in with them often, someone is celebrating a great event you will be there for them.
3. Serve – a couple times a year the LIFE Group (with the support of the Missions Team) will identify a service project and participate as a team. You are free to choose a project that is near and dear to the people in the LIFE Group and to serve as you desire. This is simply a way of sharing God’s love together with the world as a group.
4. Outreach – a couple times a year you will design a fun time for the LIFE group members to enjoy and you will each invite a friend(s) to join you. This is a great way of introducing your un-churches friends/family/co-workers to meet the church and grow a little deeper. Who knows one of these friends might just want to join the group, might want to join the church and might come to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ and that is the ultimate goal of all Christian activity.

Groups work best when people are assembled by lifestyle and affinity, however, we have seen groups be very successful with people who seem from the outset to have very little in common and together they discover a great connection. When a group is launched there is always a feeling out time of about 4 meetings after which people can commit to stay with the group or find another group that works better for them. A group generally stays together for a year then re-evaluates whether to continue, stop meeting all together, or add a few more people into the mix.
